Carbon Island

The new version of Carbon Island portrays young people returning to their island hometowns, highlighting their efforts to embrace low-carbon transformation and contribute to mitigating global climate change.

In the aftermath of a typhoon, Carbon Island is left in disarray. Players are required to engage in 2-in-1 activities to acquire eco-friendly items, complete tasks, and explore the stories of NPCs rooted in the island's carbon emissions.

Activation:

We hope that every player will learn how to sort garbage scientifically. When they see garbage in their neighborhood, on the streets, or along the shore, our players will be encouraged to take action by collecting the garbage and placing it into the correct bins.

Real World Connection:

We plan to collaborate with a real community in Shenzhen, China, to use the game as an educational tool for garbage sorting. The gameplay will be provided at training sites for instructors and participants as an interactive activity to learn about garbage sorting in a fun way.
