Welcome to the EverForest where players plant trees, restore and grow ecosystems, and take tiny actions—in the game and in the real world! Players befriend a diverse cast of creatures and finish fun quests in the magical forest. Of course, the real magic is the empowerment that players unlock in themselves as they engage in the interconnectedness of the EverForest.
EverForest play is powerful. In fact, our “activation” is the core play, the seed of the game design—not a temporary feature. Every time a player enters the EverForest, they make progress towards more trees planted—and in the real world, more ecosystems restored and communities connected. And each day brings a new eco-action to complete for additional game progress. Post-activation, how will players behave?
Players are immersed in the EverForest story and are active participants in restoring its areas and ecosystems. They also get rewarded reinforcement by taking tiny eco-actions (meatless Mondays, eating leftovers, etc.) that move them closer to planting real trees. Add in bits of delightful education about how amazing nature is, and players shift from feeling helpless to feeling powerful—in the real world.
Real-world action, engagement, and a permanent shift in every player so they take tiny action is the core of the game—it’s a perpetual loop, not a linear story. We want every player to understand they’re part of a very real hero’s journey. One game session, one tree, one eco-action, one cute creature and chuckle at a time, we’ll regreen the world.
