The Green Game Jam activation will feature the return on New World's spring community event “AETERNUM’s COOKING STAR”.

Players will be challenged and rewarded for preparing dishes inspired by the diverse biomes and natural resources from the island of Aeternum. The top dish will receive additional rewards and recognition as Aeternum’s Cooking Star.

While the event is live players will also be treated with in-game activations around GATHERING and COOKING where they will travel through Aeternum searching for ingredients to cook a variety of in-game dishes.

To support the theme of “SMALL ACTIONS, BIG IMPACT” the New World team will produce and promote content that helps their community understand not just how simple it is to prepare food but sustainable approaches at scale can have major environmental impacts and long term health benefits.

One of the key pieces of content will translate in-game activities into the real world. The effects of the sustainable world of Aeternum will illustrate +how all player actions focused on gathering and cooking could drive meaningful change if they are translated in our current reality. They will also feature content that hope to educate and inspire players to understand the positive impacts of food sustainability.
