The world is asking a lot of us right now

Extreme weather is no longer something that happens somewhere else, it’s reshaping daily life, disrupting food systems, and changing the nature we depend on. Now, more than ever, we need to come together. And games bring us together in our millions. That’s why this year we’re asking players to share their own stories of resilience with each other. Stories about how they’re protecting their local wildlife, looking out for each other when extreme weather hits and making mindful choices to fix the food system.

How does it work?
In 2027, games are asking their players to share real, specific, and relatable stories of how they’re building resilience in their everyday lives. Not what they should be doing – what they’re already doing, no matter how small. Because when people make their actions visible, they can inspire others around them to act in the same way. That’s the power of social norms.

When enough of those stories accumulate in one trusted space, where members of that community can see them, something shifts. People stop feeling alone in caring, and actions that felt too small to matter feel bigger when put together. Researchers call this a social tipping point – and it takes just 25% of a community to make it happen.
