Humble Bundle sells games, ebooks, software, and other digital content. Their mission is to support charity while providing awesome content to customers at great prices. Humble Bundle launched in 2010 with a single two-week Humble Indie Bundle, but they have humbly grown into a store full of games and bundles, a gaming membership service, a game publisher, and more.
Humble Bundle will partner with and help raise funding for organizations focused on environmental issues and sustainability, both through their featured charity program and through select content-bundle sales that direct proceeds to charity. This will include supporting efforts to:
- Protect and restore coastlines to achieve a net increase in global mangrove coverage
- Plant 50,000+ trees/year in areas impacted by fires and other disasters
- Advance protection of oceans, including reducing plastic pollution
- Build wells to provide clean water to those in need
- Improve the health and management of fisheries and aquaculture areas
Humble Bundle will also promote the corresponding charities via marketing efforts and provide relevant information to the public regarding the work they do and how to get involved further and conduct an internal carbon-footprint assessment, commit to businesswide reductions, and partner with Carbonfund.org to raise emission-offset funds through charitable activations.
Founded in 2003 in Sheffield, UK, Sumo Group has grown from small beginnings into a large group of studios housing well over a thousand (and counting) passionate developers.
