MeshMinds is a non-profit foundation and creative technology studio that invests in Games for Good. We bring together impact artists, tech for good developers and sustainability advocates to learn how to build immersive and interactive experiences on the world's largest gaming platforms, such as Roblox and Fortnite, to support climate action and behavioural change amongst youth and communities online.
As part of the Alliance, MeshMinds will:
- Participate in the Green Game Jam 2024, introducing new features in Sky Farm Island that educate players on sustainable farming and food production. We will launch the Garden City Growers Challenge, designed to transform players into plant-powered planet protectors.
- Operate entirely remotely to minimise our carbon footprint, reinforcing our commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions in alignment with the Paris Agreement.
- Lead and contribute to research assessing the impact of our games, collaborating with academics to publish findings and share insights, thus driving further environmental awareness and action.
- Join and actively participate in thematic working groups within the Alliance, particularly focusing on Green Game Design, Storytelling and Sustainable Events, sharing our best practices and learning from fellow members to foster a more sustainable gaming industry.
